Nuove Musiche Ensemble is Tasmania's newest early music group - Helen Thomson, Soprano; Susan King, Lutes & Baroque Guitar and Brett Rutherford, Viola da Gamba.
Our current program is Love Songs of the 16th and 17th centuries and features songs by John Dowland, Giulio Caccini, Girolamo Frescobaldi, Thomas Campion, Etienne Mouliné and Claudio Monteverdi with instrumental music including works by by Gaspar Sanz and Marin Marais. We also feature a new work written especially for us by Tasmanian composer Janina Evangelou, titled "Come Let us Kiss and Part". http://janina-evangelou.doomby.com/
